Community Giving and Involvement
Giving back to the community has always been important to us. As a result, we have volunteered thousands of hours to various causes in our community. Most of our energy goes towards the arts, children and trails. Below you can find out about a few of the community projects we have organized.
SUNBURY SHORES ARTS AND NATURE CENTRE
Guess Who Fundraiser, 2010 & 2011, Aquisition of a new Lithography Press, Square Foot Fundraiser, Website Design and Updates, CLASS (Children Learning At Sunbury Shores) Program, Exhibit Installations and Brochure Design, Newsletter (the Water Street Journal), Library/Nature Room Transformation, Picket Fundraiser, Gallery Construction (storage room addition)
TRAILS AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

ARENA COMPLEX THEATRE
Refurbishing an old movie theatre to make it ready for theatrical performances. Painting, Seat Revival, Fundraisers
We have painted a number of murals in town - many with students.
VINCENT MASSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Artists in the school visits, mural painting, set design, fundraisers and more at Vincent Massey Elementary School.
SIR JAMES DUNN ACADEMY
Artists in the school visits, mural painting, set design, Rock 'n Ride and more at Sir James Dunn Academy.
KINGSBRAE GARDEN FOLK ART FESTIVAL
Since 2011, Jan has organized a Folk Art exhibit at the Kingsbrae Garden art gallery. The show brings together folk artists from across the Maritimes.
Geoff, Andrea, Jan and Hank were instrumental in the construction of the town's new youth centre.
MISCELLANEOUS COMMUNITY ART PROJECTS
Student Art Lessons/Shows, Halloween and Christmas Events, Kiwanis Alternative School, Street painting, Kiwanis Club parade float, Painting with seniors at Passamaquoddy Lodge, etc.
Since 1997, we have been providing art lessons, free of charge, to over 1.5 million visitors a month, online.
